Early Career
Born 1951 in Detroit Michigan, Robyn soon found music to be his life's passion. From a very early age, Robyn developed strong talents in both playing and creating music. In 1961 he studied piano for four years at the Detroit Conservatory of Music. By 1967 he already had a top 14 single in the US with the group The Assemblage. Two years later in 1969 Robyn placed third overall in the US songwriter's competition.
For the next two years Robyn played as a professional session musician with Motown, Staxx, and Hideout Records, performing in live tours all across the US, Canada, and Europe. He had the opportunity to work with musical groups such as The Platters, Coasters, and Tiny Tim. During these years Robyn became a highly skilled and gifted musician, which led him to the opportunity of a lifetime.

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
In 1972 Robyn was selected as keyboardist and founding member of Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. He accrued credits on 7 triple gold and 6 quad triple Platinum Albums including Beautiful Loser, Live Bullet, Stranger in Town, Night Moves, Against the Wind, and The Greatest Hits 1 and 2. The band would be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
Present-day Career
Following Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, Robyn established himself as a highly skilled and experienced producer and mastering engineer. In 1985 Robyn moved to Miami as a freelance producer, working with clients such as The Bee Gees through his studio Birdland Music Productions. In 1993 Robyn opened Mid Atlantic Digital Studios, producing professional tracks for many well-known artists including Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.
Currently Robyn is a producer for his multiple award-winning studio, Robyn Robins Recording Productions. He is one of the most sought after producers in the United States and has worked with many notable clients including U2, Van Morrison, The Bee Gees, Damien Rice, Sinead O’Conner, Cold Play, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Disney Studios.
